Ah, springtime in Ohio! As the days get longer and a warmth returns to the air, there’s a feeling of rebirth all around. It’s one of my favorite times of year, bringing with it a surge of energy and a readiness to embrace new adventures. This feeling of optimism, and sense of life coming back into everything, really sets the perfect tone for cherishing the moments that matter most.
And speaking of precious moments… This past weekend was a great one spent with friends and family, a reminder of how important it is to connect with our loved ones, especially during these holiday seasons. It got me thinking… you start to realize that sometimes, a particular holiday might be the last one you share with someone. As you get older, it seems you hear more and more about people passing away. Death is inevitable; it happens to us all eventually. When you’re young, it’s not something you dwell on, but the older you get, the more you think, “Have I done everything I want to do with my life? Have I spent enough time with the people who matter most?”
That feeling of spring’s renewal fuels our desire to make the most of every opportunity. It’s a big part of why Brandy and I travel and why we started doing it younger rather than waiting for retirement. Some people put off their dreams, saying they’ll travel later in life. But don’t wait! Don’t wait to do the things in your life that you truly want to do, because those opportunities can be taken from you – whether it’s due to health or just the unpredictable nature of life. Nobody wants to die with regrets.
This past weekend, hanging out with the whole family was fantastic. We had such a great time, and it reinforced why we value these moments so much. And speaking of family and travel, we have some exciting news! This summer, fueled by this springtime energy, our whole family is embarking on a big travel adventure together, and we’re even bringing along some extra family members. We’re so excited that everyone will get to experience this with us, and we’ll create memories that will last a lifetime!
For us, travel isn’t just about seeing new places; it’s about making memories now, while we have the energy and the ability to do so. Life is short, and the time we have with our loved ones is precious. So don’t wait for “someday.” Take those trips, spend that extra time, and create those memories today.
Now, after a wonderful long weekend with family and friends, it’s back to the grind! I’m hoping to have a new video out by the end of the week, so stay tuned for more of our adventures!
